Detjen’s teamed up with another tree service and did a great job of sawing up and hauling away a 100-year-old pecan tree when a wind storm stripped off all of its limbs and half of the trunk recently. They came the same day I called and did the whole job in about 3 1/2 hours when the heat index that day was 107. The price was fair too.

They were extremely professional, careful, and thorough throughout the entire tree removal process. Their quote was very reasonable and competitive. I was very impressed with the quality of their work and attention to detail. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing tree removal services—100% satisfied!

Been using Josh for many years. He shows up when he says he will and cleans up after. Prices are always fair. Never bought wood from him but he cleans my gardens and mulches every year. Does a great job. I would highly recommend.

Highly recommend! Josh and his crew got two large trees down in my yard quickly and on short notice to work with my schedule. They arrived early in the morning and had the project finished and cleaned up by mid day. We had no issues whatsoever! Price was also much more reasonable than other bids! We will definitely use Detjens again.

I have been using Josh Detjen's service for years. While other places bring wood that is too wet or not seasoned enough, Josh's is always perfectly seasoned and you can literally light it with a match. Always great splits 100% hardwood without fail, and timely deliveries. Best in st louis County.

If you are looking for tree work, I absolutely recommend Josh and Detjen’s Tree Service. Some of my neighbors in Frontenac had his crew on a job and I asked him to stop and give me an estimate. So glad I did!! He and his guys did a great job and truly went above and beyond. Threw in a few extra limbs that I hadn’t seen that were dead and after asking me if it was okay to take care of them, just did it too. Although I only had some tree work done, they also do mulch, landscaping, patio work, firewood, etc. Will definitely call them again when I need more work done. Timely communication and easy to talk to about what I wanted done. Also, fair pricing - not the upcharge I sometimes think people apply in Frontenac or Ladue.

Josh and his team provide fantastic landscaping services for us in Chesterfield. They put down fresh mulch very quickly and cleanly. They have helped with broken tree limbs to full tree removal, each time doing it safely and efficiently. They're our go to for anything we need done for our yard.
